Lovett Joins Larson & McGowin as Western Division Manager

Larson & McGowin, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Ernest G. Lovett to the position of Vice President Western Division Manager. Lovett, formerly Region Manager with Georgia Pacific Corporation, comes to Larson & McGowin, Inc. to continue a distinguished 32 year career. Lovett is a graduate of University of Arkansas at Monticello, a retired US Army Reserves Lieutenant Colonel and a Bronze Star award recipient. He has held many positions within Georgia-Pacific including Procurement and Timber Manager, Location Manager, Group Manager and Region Manager. For the last two years he has been providing assistance with technology transfer for the US Forest Service Experimental Forest in Crossett, Arkansas.

His participation with the transition team from Georgia Pacific to the Timber Company and involvement in the successful sale of the Timber Company to Plum Creek highlights the significant changes currently underway in the industry. But his love for forestry and the enthusiasm he brings to private landowner issues are the characteristics that make him a perfect fit with our organization” said Barrett B. McCall President.
