Born in Montgomery, AL, McCall earned a Bachelor of Science in Forest Operation from Auburn University and joined Larson & McGowin, Inc., in 1993. His continuing education includes additional coursework at Auburn, the University of Georgia, and the Association of Rural Farm Managers and Appraisers in sample design and procedure, intensive forest management, timberland appraisal theory database management and rural property appraisal. His expertise includes timber estimate sample design and cruise compilation, timberland appraisal and appraisal theory and harvest planning to meet a multitude of landowner and stakeholder objectives. He also has extensive experience in timberland acquisition due diligence and negotiation.
Alexander McCall is active in a number of professional organizations and is registered as a Forester in both Alabama (License No. 1593) and as a General Real Property Appraiser in Alabama (G01281) and in Florida (RZ3936). He is a Practicing Affiliate with the Appraisal Institute, and has served as an expert witness on numerous occasions regarding the real property and timberland valuation issues.
